Turkish Canadian Society (TCS) Republic Day Gala
Let's first start with who is TCS and what is the aim of this society. The Turkish-Canadian Society (TCS) is a registered non-profit charitable organization in British Columbia, Canada. The Society focuses on Turkish arts and culture and aims to help build a connected, inclusive, and peaceful society where people share values and care for each other. All work done in this society is based on voluntary efforts.
Turkish Republic day, which had its 101th celebration on this October 29th, is very important for Turks. That's why this gala night was very important to be photographed in a best way. The venue for the gala was Hilton Hotel located in downtown Vancouver.
Organisation was perfect, everything went as planned in a smooth way. For photography we have used Canon external flash light because the light in the venue was not enough althogh we had a very fast lens and a mirrorless camera. It really reduced the post production time!
We also did video shots in between photographs and created below short film which gives the summary of the night in a beautiful way. Short films are really great, we love them.
Event photography, taking candid and nearly documentary style photographs are our favorite. Blending in the crowd, being invisible and documenting everything with an artist eye, this is what we do the best!
We are hoping that next year we will be at the 102 th year of Turkish Republic's celebration gala night, together will all these beautiful people and the society in Vancouver.
