A tea ceremony is a Chinese tradition wherein the bride and groom serve tea to their respective families, including parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and other esteemed elders. The couple receives well wishes and gifts, and it’s an act of welcoming either the bride or the groom, thereby unifying both families.
When I first heard that there will be traditional chinese tea ceremony at both bride's house and groome's house I got really excited because that was the first time for me to document such an event. So we met in the at the morning in bride's house. The couple and their families were so sweet, everybody was smiling and having their shares of these precious moments. It is perfect to see these important traditions are inherited to the young peoples of the family.
In the context of a modern-day wedding, the Chinese tea ceremony feels akin to a small private ceremony with just close family and friends before the bigger ceremony and reception.
After the tea ceremony, we met at the wedding venue in Richmond for the modern wedding ceremony. The ceremony was intimate with a close group of relatives and friends, and we did lots of candid and posed family pictures. And it was really beautiful and special with a snowy white background. And there was very very delicious food also!
Although it was a snowy, frozen February day, we got outside and took perfect photographs with this perfect couple! Winter wonderland! Exactly! I love how these pictures turned out. They had no complaints about the cold, ice, snow, nothing. They had just great time and celebrated their beautiful love...
